Systematic Metaphors in Norwegian Doctoral Dissertation Acknowledgements

چکیده

This article investigates patterns of systematic metaphors used to characterize various aspects the doctoral education period, based on analysis dissertation acknowledgements (DAs) from dissertations across academic disciplines and written by researchers four PhD programs offered a Norwegian university. The primary research question addressed here asks which in Norway use describe their educational experience as whole, well assistance they received during period. A discourse dynamics approach is applied data, allowing for identification employed about these topics followed categorization identified into broader categories. resulting overview metaphorical DAs provides empirical evidence concerning how view experiences, useful mentoring situations starting point addressing attitudes, beliefs values challenges rewards involved trajectories.
